Our story.

We opened Sunday Kitchen as a pop-up restaurant in Beverly Hills for six hours every Sunday because that was the only day the space we occupied was not operating its usual business. Our menu was a single item: a five-course Asian-inspired meal. Sunday Kitchen was our hobby and it was a fun outlet for us to share our passion for food and great service. On the weekdays, between toiling at our regular jobs, we experimented and tested recipes while our friends and family helped to spread the word.

Encouraged by the support of our community and a desire to interact with more people, we took Sunday Kitchen to the 626 and Orange County Night Markets. Those events introduced a new audience to our food and soon after receiving inquiries, we branched out to the catering business in Orange County. Since then, we have broadened our offerings to meal prep and dinner parties.

We are all about food and are always striving to make a better tasting dish. Our goal is to provide happiness, comfort, and joy through food and our clients with personal and loving service.

Thank you for visiting our website. We welcome you to our family!

Cliff Asavadejpakdee

What started out as helping his grandmother in the kitchen and participating in family dumpling-folding nights grew into a lifelong pursuit of food. After obtaining a degree in hotel and restaurant management, Cliff honed his skills at The Culinary Institute of America at Copia (in Napa Valley), which prepared him for work at numerous restaurants from Los Angeles to Philadelphia. He has the privilege of being on the opening team of five restaurants and a food truck. Cliff loves exercising his creativity whether it’s customizing a menu for a dinner party or vamping up weekly meal preps and draws inspiration from his many culinary adventures. While he fawns over playful presentations and delightful textures, the most rewarding part of “being able to do this” is seeing people enjoy his culinary creations.

Rusty Kositsawat

Food has always been the focal point of celebrations for Rusty’s family when she was growing up. She recalls her grandfather treating her family out for weekend dinners as her mother reliably prepared home-cooked Chinese meals for all the other days and nights during the week. Fond memories of her childhood are embodied in the love Rusty thoughtfully directs to Sunday Kitchen’s clients. Starting in retail and moving into restaurants, Rusty has 19 years (and counting!) of service experience. Not only a marvel of maintaining long-lasting relationships, Rusty is instrumental in the operational success of Sunday Kitchen. On any given week, it’s not surprising to find her mixing a batch of sauce, clearing her inbox, or finalizing the setup for a surprise birthday party. Catering is the happy marriage of celebration and food; thus, the perfect calling for Rusty.
